us 1st gens can swap out to a 2nd gen, so I would assume you could swap out to a 1st gen.

maybe your idle would be a little rough?

From what I hear AV6 TB's are 54mm and a CL/TL is 48 and it is a direct plug and play fit. No modifications to your resonator/CAI. I don't know if that answers your question because it isn't very clear.

Sorry Steve, still no unit available.

The core would be hard to come by and you would need to stick with the J32A2 unit and then have it machined.

You could buy a new one, have it machined, swap out the units, have the other machined and then sell it alone. I think the stock ones are about $350 so you would want to slipt the difference of charge someone else more.

hey while were at it....ive taking the disconnected VSA out of the car...and as i thought i got both VSA lights lit...i tried jumping the wire with red and black the other connector has 3 wires not sure what to do seems like the 2 wire harness is the power supply and the three wire is the trigger.any ideas?

After looking at the Helms manual it looks like you would need to apply 4.5 VDC to the center pin on the three pin connector. You could create a voltage divider using the other pin pins levels for the source.

The only question is if the ECU sense an open on the motor circuit. It so a resistance measurement would need to be taken on the motor and a proper resistor applied.

Actually it is easy. Just a $1.00 worht of resistors and some electrical tape should be all that is needed. I would start with a 1k Ohm and 9k Ohm (or multiple to sum these) and create the divider.

Try these links to see how it is done:

http://www.aikenamps.com/VoltageDividerRule.htm

http://www.clarkson.edu/~svoboda/eta...derDesign.html

R1 = 1k Ohm
R2 = 9k Ohm
Vin = 5.0 VDC

The wattage won't really make a difference.

You just need 9k ohms and 1k ohms and that should be it.

Yep, and those resistors slipped my mind. Drop me a note on Monday to remind me.
