Those with the 5AT S/C

How much harder is it to launch the 5AT with the S/C than without? Is there gobs more torque down low than without? I'm going to run the HBP and i'm curious if i'm going to change things up a bit at the track.

Not much for me, the sticky Toyos hook me up real well, even with the extra power.

i've driven a blown tl-s w/ the hbp, def not too hard to launch, you'll prolly just have to make a few adjustments in how hard ya launch

Yeah even with my stockers and the HBP its still not that hard to launch.

You already know how to launch, i.e. don't just mash the gad pedal to the floor, so you'll be fine. It may just take a few runs for you to adjust to it.

I decided for the hell of it to floor it WOT off the line and the front was literally bouncing up and down before the tires gripped. I knew it was coming as well as the damage it could do but i decided to just try it once.

Never again.

I still can't launch it right! With VSA off my car will still break those front tire loose at 20mph.
This time I just gun it! I know it is a weak launch but it in the high 90's that day.

I hate wheel hop... happens once or twice each time at the track and I'm just like... CL-S

Probably, buying rims is so tough though and I wanna make the right decision the 1st time. I keep changing my mind back and forth. I think since I've decided to go with the S/C I'm going to get the most out of performance by getting something lightweight.

I got my best times with the vsa on. I was also able to get both tires spinning, (w/o any hop and the vsa off), to the point that the front end actually drifted about 10 feet sideways, and I had to let off the gas, and start again.

I wish I could get my front end to break loose. I can barely spin the tires. Shitty CL-P.

LOL

Right now I'm N/A and I can hook up right off the line fine. But when I hit 5500-6000 rpm in 1st they break loose a little and start chirping!!

I found that my car launches best if it's in the 1,000-1,500 RPM range(60 FT's seems to indicate that as well). If its goes higher than that the wheel spin is too much. Hope that helps.
