Sways just in
Sways just in
Thanks to MackDaddy, I completed my Sway install this afternoon in about 2 1/2 hours. What a diff! I have a freeway onramp near me that I often take at 45. I just took it a 60 with the sways!
The car just rides like a slot car now. I love it!
Best to all!

Does anybody have a link to the Sway bar install instructions... I used Search and only found bits and pieces of advice..

No way man...sways kill springs...did you do springs then sways, or sways then springs? Maybe it's just that you got the Comptech sways heh heh.

I wrote up a nice big FAQ last night with a lot of pics. Adam should be putting it up here soon.

The biggest thing to the install is removing the old muthas & that is made easy by using a pair of needle nose vice grips to hold the endlink while you put a 14 mm socket on the nut. There is no other way to hold the stud! What a crazy design! I went out and bought a pair of vice grips for the job ($11.00) and it went like clockwork!
Good luck! Actually, it doesn't even take luck!

don't use the vice grips. there is an allen key slot on the stud. use the allen key to hold the stud instead. the vice grips will make marks on the thread and make it a pain in the ass to put the nut back on. not sure the size on the allen key though. may be 6 mm.
Comptech Web Site has the install instructions. Here is the link:
http://www.comptechusa.com/instructions/921050.pdf
There is a slight adjustment to the directions. On the sheet, it mentions the use of lubricant. The kit no longer comes with the grease, it comes with white plumber's teflon tape. If your used kit didn't have it, just go down to your local hardware store and get a roll. Should be about a $1. Wrap the rear bar with the teflon tape where the replacement bushings are to be installed. That is the only change to the directions. Looks like the other posts offer good tips. Good luck. It is an awesome mod!!!

See that top end link? The one attached to the swaybar? On the other side of it, there is a bolt and nut sticking out. That bolt has a hole in it, the hole being a hex (allen) wrench shape. That is where you put it.
