Supercharger Install

Well as some of you may or may not know I was lucky enough to get hold of SIRSIG's comptech supercharger. Was missing a few parts but nothing too major. Elbow piece, fuel pump, 51R battery, and coolant reservoir. Ran into some trouble during the install tho. First off...elbow piece seems a bit off. It's the Accord V6 SC Kit elbow piece which is supposed to be compatible with the CL-P (my understanding). We're also installing the OE Thermoblok spacers and they seem to throw off the connection between the elbow piece and the supercharger inlet even more. Any ideas? Second, I don't have a copy of the ESM installation. Easy install? I guess it's just a matter of connecting the 3 wires, but where the hell are the wires they need to connect to? Called CT but no answer. Which is weird because just yesterday I talked to Ryan to order the elbow piece. Anyhow. Any advice with either or both of these problems would be greatly appreciated :-)

Here are the install guides for the Accord kit and ESM if you don't already have them.
Right click the links below and select "Save Target As"

http://photos.imageevent.com/allout/...SC_Install.pdf

http://photos.imageevent.com/allout/...SM-NEW2005.pdf

When I had the Thermoblok spacer installed on mine, it was a pain in the ass getting the blower and elbow to line up but I was able to do it. I eventually removed the spacer because I suspected it leaking and all lined right back up fine.

The ESM cuts into the harness for the ECU. Make sure you solder the connections so you get good connections. If you've got a factory service manual, you can confirm the pins on the ECU.

Ahh. Thank you very much! I'll probably just leave the spacers out of the mix then. Thanks again!

uhm Erik, i included the coolant reservoir remember, the plastic bottle piece?

anyway, like allout said, the thermoblock will lift the intake manifold and can also hit the hood beside being off on the air intake.

that pdf file has all the info you'll need and like i said a first time SC installer will take a day to figure things out.

Don't forget to install B&M tranny cooler tho... good luck and enjoy your ride

btw, don't forget to put back the original blower pulley if you're gonna use the comptech HBP...

max blower pulley + comptech HBP = 9psi
regular blower pulley + comptech HBP = 6psi

yeah bro but it's a big fat bottle. it'll never fit on the battery tray like it's suppose to. it's suppose to be a slim bottle isn't it? but yeah we'll get it. wouldnt happen to have those FPR steel braided lines still would you?

The steel braided lines were just for the pictures. My kit came from Comptech with high pressure rubber lines. FYI - Steel braided also has a smaller ID than comparable rubber lines.

lol. that's the one i gave you, that bottle was slim at the bottom and it goes beside the battery tray.

you mentioned that you'll be running your car with stock FPR, don't gun your car while you're at that... just be careful on running your car with stock FPR because that might create a problem in the future...

represent the CL-P. and what kinda of numbers are you hoping for...i didn't think it was much for a CL-P, but that is just compared to the S and S6...should be great gains tho! let us know if it is worth it, i have some extra money im looking to spend...

Well I believe SIRSIG included some rubber lines. I'll give it a shot first thing in the morning.

yeah. the FPR is worrying me. i havent gone WOT at all and i'm driving pretty conservative until i get the CT FPR installed which is hard since i hear the supercharger whining like its about to unleash hell then it goes quiet this thing is a lot more work than i anticipated tho. last thing to install is the FPR and hopefully that'll get done tomorrow. thanks a lot guys for sharing your expertise and knowledge with a noob! (SIRSIG and Allout)

At the moment I can't say anything performance wise since it's not complete yet but from what SIRSIG has told me I'm looking at maybe 250-270 WHP with stock 6psi pulley and all boltons and exhaust and maybe about 300-320 WHP with 9psi HBP (which he also provided) and aforementioned mods. seems like a good deal to me. as long as that tranny holds. :knocks on wood:

did you get an intercooler for the 9lb pulley? Are you running any kind of fuel management like a emanage? You will need an emanage to run 6lb and 9lb safely.

I'm wondering how much more boost friendly the CL-P motor is? Lower CR should help accept a bit more boost before

this is true. that's why i was "hoping" to take the ic off of SIRSIG's hands but he won't budge. that turbo kit he's building is gonna need it.

krisdlm: read above.

allout: don't jinx it! i'm probably just gonna run the 6lbs. pulley and get the tune and call it a day. does that 9 lbs. pulley absolutely need an IC or what?

Would it fit if you used the lower intake manifold runners from a J32A2?
