I know the eclipse GT will cream the 3.0 from zero but how about from a 20mph+ pull ?

its rated at 260ish hp,6.5-7.0 secs o-60, and high 14's in the 1/4

the other version(non-GT) is just crappy,you can match it easily with a 2.2/2.3

cuz my friend keeps blabalabl lol he just got it(a convertabile one,ie200 lbs more) and honestly it doesnt feel that powerful

so what you guys think?

this is from consumer guide,so standard is manual

 

manual is standard in most cars. but most people spend the extra $700 for automatic.

 

i think you might have a chance with the non-gt version, but the 2.2/2.3 is no chance for the 4g69. and the gt is definitely a battle with the second gen cl.

 

Stock maybe its still a big 3.8V6 that has gobs of torque, if he gets headers your pretty much done for.

 

i think you will get creamed. he has an extra 63 hp and 65 torques. that should offset the weight difference easily. plus the 3.0 tranny is crap....newer automatics are much better at getting the power down.

 

you will lose. pretty badly too.
