I consistantly get 28-30 mpg on the highway doing 75-80 mph, that's nuts, but true. These 3.2 engines are great and reliable at resonable boost levels, and they still deliver daily driver reliabilty.
My CLS-6 has 90K with 45K on the blower and its been trouble F'in free.
IMHO, the blower kit is an excellant upgrade, for those who have the means and desire to experience higher performance, for the Acura 3.2 platform.
Money well spent, at least in my case, YMMV :

Mr Steve, didn't you have the CT SC for a while? How come you took it off? I read in an old post that your clutch was slipping, but is that the only reason?

Nupe, sorry man but you talk alot of smack for someone yet to run any real remarkable times.
At least Steve contributes more than BS and criticism to the forum, can you say the same?
Anyways, Ron between the two I'd say do the SC. Altho I dont think either is worth the hp gain, the SC is the easiest to install, easiest to tune, and seemingly best for the $$$. You should make ~ 275whp with a conservative tune, which would make for a very quick DD.
Def invest in some of the engine dampers to get rid of the wheelhop, cuz the extra tq will make your axles hate you if it hops. Plus dont forget about the clutch, and most importantly some uber sticky tires to make the hp work.

No... because the clutch was slipping bad in 3rd and 4th.
Plus the only time I went to the track in the SC6pd was about 2 weeks after I bought the car and subsequently 2 weeks after I taught myself how to drive stick.
<---- Still the quickest and fastest S/C CL/TL to run at the track.

Now I'm wondering who has the quickest CL.
Didn't Allmotor_2000 break into the 12's with his turbo setup ??

That car was an automatic, which tends to 60' alot better than the 6 speed due to driveline shock.
Regardless 108mph is flyin, its good enough for mid 12's with like a 1.7 60'

Those time slips get my hopes up. I ran a 13.4 @ 108 with a 2.2X 60 ft. Clutch was slipping too.
I just received 2 NRG Dampers and swapped the Pirelli All Seasons for Some Bridgestone Potenzas Pole Positions. It should reduce the wheelhop and get better grip.
Hopefully I'll best Mr.Steve's time within the next few weeks.

I managed a 2.2 60' with the 6-speed but due mainly to my poor shifting technique and bogged launch I couldn't do better than a 14.0 @ 104 MPH. This was also in the middle of August.
Here's that run. Slow 1.4 reaction time. I was 13 MPH faster than the 'Stang at the 1320'

add NEITHER to the poll so I can be the first to vote. Mattg just proved to us all that a 75 shot of NOS is all we need. I should be spraying in the fall. Gonna take the time to do it right.

it's only fun for small bursts though. S/C or 3.5 is fun all of the time. that's something to consider.

Since it seems this thread has switched topics just a bit, I would like to know if anyone has the numbers for an 01CL-S with HBP and Intercooler. I know what the dyno says, but I'm just currious what the track says.
