Squeaky seat problem...

Well, I am taking my car in once again for that annoying squeaky seat problem. I took it in the first time, and they said they performed their bulletin maintnance service on the problem, but right when I left the dealer the problem got even worse. I went in the following week, and they said they didnt know what it was and that they would order a whole new seat belt buckle thing to fix the problem. I pick up my car later, and once again it persisted. So i went in today, and they said they were ordering another part for the seat belt buckle thing, and that it will be in by Monday. I hope that this will cure the problem. It is sooo annoying when you go into a turn and all you hear is that DAMN squeak!!! You guys know what im talking about? Another thing that they are fixing is the glove compartment which makes this horrible sound of plastic being grinded together. I thought I bought an Acura, and not some POS IS 300 or something.....Whats going on here? Well thanx once again for listening to my lengthy stories, and keep your fingers crossed and wish me the best of luck with these squeaks.

Are you sure the problem lay with the seatbelt latch or buckle? My passenger seat squeaking problem is the result of the seat back and seat bottom rubbing together. When I stuff something between the two, the squeaking goes away.

I have taken my car to Acura 2 times already, and I still have the same problem. What somebody did on this forum is replace the seat rails, and that solved his problem. What I think my dealership is doing to me is just retightening the bolts. Next time I'm going to go for my oil change, I will start bitching and tell them..this better be the last time I get to hear these squeaks. Its getting ridiculous.

Hehe. Of course they could have. But, when politicians do the job of generals, you'll be hard-pressed to win anything, no matter who the opponent is.

I propose this amendment to the Constitution:
All bleeding heart and even moderate liberals shall be held powerless during times of war, or risk exile to Canada with no recourse to return.

Dude, the squeak came back! It's not the rails. It's a plastic washer on one the right seat rail that is held in by a bolt. The only fix (lubrication won't work) is to replace it with a custom made brass washer which my service manager is designing right now. I think it will go into Acura's database as he is also working with the regional service manager who controls the engineering Acura network. I'll keep you guys posted, feel free to e-mail me. It's actually good because the regional engineer said he'd NEVER seen this before so it would be good if I can say that other people are suffering from the same squeak.

Also, my squeak has gone AWAY!!! It's because of the heat. I suspect the plastic washer expanded or something and it's not squeaking anymore, but it came back when it got cold one night.
