I've got the comptechs, just waiting for install. I like the drop, not too radical with a rake toward the front. You don't have to do new struts immediately but probably should if you can afford it. It will save on the labor.

I paid a bit over $400 for a local dealer to get both the Comptech springs and the Koni shocks installed that the same time. I would image you can get the springs only done for $200-300.

i'm thinkin' eibach pro-kit or h&r sport. which do you guys prefer?
also, how extreme is the sportline drop? anyone got pics?

the comptechs look nice but a little expensive for my tastes. i'm leaning towards the eibach because i'd like to drop the front a little more than the rear (just my preference).

You got ripped off because the spring and shock installation is IDENTICAL, so they should charge you the same amount whether your just installing springs or installing springs and shocks at the same time...if you have the receipt you should take it back and bitch at them...

BTW I have the Ground Control coilovers...but if I had to go with a Lowering Spring, I would definetly get the H&R Sport springs, I had H&R before, it rides and handles very good, plus the drop is perfect on these, and you cant justify AT ALL for the additional 100 dollars to get Eibach Prokit...For Real...

are comptechs the only springs that drop the front more than the rear? i kinda like that look, but i'd rather not drop the extra $$$ on the comptechs if possible.
thanks again to everyone who has replied

Haha, that was your e-mail I responded to the other night, wasn't it? Yeah, if I got new springs today, they'd be H&R Sports or Neuspeed Sports since they offer a more even drop (not CTs though). Ya live and learn... btw, once I get back from vacation in mid-Dec, I plan to pull the front springs and start cutting to give a more little more drop with the current springs...

Comptech all the way. Love the look (slight rake.) Worth every penny as I installed them myself. Top notch ride and handling.

The prokit doesn not drop 1.8/1.5. It drops more like 1.8/2.2. The back sags much lower than the front, and this is very obvious. On my car, when I look at it from the side, it is slanted backwards. This sucks. I should have gotten HR sports. Then again, i am very picky, so it probably is not that bad. But ask anyone who has the prokit...the rear is definitely lower than the front. Unless you set it up differently with konis.
