ARe you on crack? To remove your factory spring/shocks, compress the factory springs, remove them, compress the new springs, install them, and remount all four?!?!?

Thats a 2 hour job for someone who is damn good. You should be expecting to pay 150-200 at least. Pay the 80 and run.

That's a good price... the minimum I would charge is probably $100!

Is there anything special that needs to be done for a spring install to be done by a dealer or some other place vs. doing it yourself?

You need a spring compressor. I'll do it for $100 and guarantee no squeeks, creaks, or rattles.

4pumpedCL...will consider that if I get my springs. Don't think it should be that hard to do the install, huh? I don't want to pay what these dealers want if it can be done cheaper!

The hardest part of lowering a CL is pulling the back seat out.

Make sure that the person that quoted you the $80 wasn't talking per spring...$320 (total) makes a lot more sense.

I got the springs and sways done at the same time for $400 in labor.

it makes it easier to reach the location where the top of the strut locks into the frame of the car. The rear seats' headrest seems to bulge up and makes it difficult to loosen.
