i like when they have the drag races with the street cars but they hardly tell you what the cars are.
Last night they had a race in the outlaw class between a mod-honda civic and stock lexus.....the civic kicked the shit out of it....it ran at like 193 and they didn't even bother showing the numbers of the lexus. I assume the lexus was the new is400 that is out.

 

Love it, am addicted.

Did anyone see the "Lap of the Gods" in March?

Camera footage and driving was very cool. I missed the 1st 1/2 hour

It was actually an IS300. One of the drivers had something happen to his car. Get this...
He went and rented an IS300 had his crew throw in a bottle just so he could run. It was pretty funny. Bone stock except for the bottle.

Its 607 down in FL too. I love this station. Did anyone see the import car show the other day? It was on for like 2 hours and it showed so many nice modified cars well minus the occasional neon but it was still good.

well i love that channel but sometimes they show some stupid stuff.......when i have time to watch it they show some classical 1967 racing history shit.. when i m out .. the show GT racing and some other shit that i WOULD love to watch.... PISSING ME OFF!!
but i love the GR racing tho.. I m trading my CL-S in in 1 year for a S4 and fix it up like the one in there =)

 

when I heard espn lost the tv rights to F1 and speedvision was the benefacator, I installed a dish the day before the Brazilian GP 3 years ago. My brother didn't believe me and missed the race! BEST channel around.

Speedvision covered the whole 24 Hour of LeMans last year. That is the only auto race I watch every year. I don't go nuts and pop no doze for 24 hours, but I did watch the first three and last three hours last year. The highlights are always good also.

I've been hooked for a while.
It would be nice if they got the rights to broadcast the CART races. I really hate ABC and ESPN. I watched a Grand Prix of Long Beach on Sunday, 65% commercials 35% racing footage. When they were showing the race they could'nt stop advertising over the picture. Speedvision is much better about that.
I saw the import show on Saturday, Lots of Rice.

 

However, the only reason they don't advertise as much as the others is because there aren't that many companies that think there are enough people watching it to make it worth while. That's OK with me..

I think i saw "lap of the gods" is that the show that has the english dude driving different cars. I believe last time he had a ferrari. Man when he turned on the engine to the Le Mans type looking car i nearly died.....man to hear that big of an engine...tuned that well....almost started to cry.

 

Sorry, that wasn't it. The reason I asked is they gave it title that sounded like a car revival meeting OR some special race course. So, I turn it on to see what it is -- WOW. They had every great F1 driver from the last decade or longer running around the actual F1 courses with cameras all over the cars. It was amazing. You could see how everyone was driving. It was some of the better footage I've seen of F1 cars from the back of the driver (so I could watch the drivers hands at every turn, here the roar of every shift) I believe the bulk was shot with film, so the quality and sound was wonderful. If it ever comes on again watch this thing, it has the best drivers in the world showing their best stuff at a bunch of different tracks from their view.

BTW -- be sure to turn sound way up.

ah!!! yes, i did see that. It awesome to see how they actually go about driving those things. I tried to key in on the shifting....how, when where etc.,
