Sound Dampening Spray

Does anyone know anything about the Cascade Quiet Kote VB-1S Pro sound dampening spray? Has anyone used it? Does anyone recommend it? If not, is there something else I should consider?

If you want my recommendation I used the Foam Spray from Home Depot. That thing sound deadens everything i need in my delsol since I stripped everything that is not necessary. Plus it's light weight too

just an FYI the foam spray can be a little messy.

Where are you looking to use it? There might be easier things to do.

i used the cascade stuff to do my whole trunk, back seat, and under the rear windows (up in the rear strut towers), i plan to follow up my spray the front wheel wells and front door panels and door linings as well. it works. won't deaden like the foam stuff. but it's lighter and gets into all the hard to reach places. caution: very messy. be sure to tape off stuff in case of overspray. p.s. if you are looking for a little more sound deadening, you can spray multiple layers.

How about dynamat or something like it, that way there are no worries about mess.

to give you an idea, one can of the spray is roughyl 16 ounces, which is 1 lb

cascade vb-max sheets are awesome and about 1 lb per sheet, but covers less space, but deadens better. so, take it for what it is.

well the main reason i ask is because i want to try to cover hard-to-reach places, such as corners, and need something to stuff holes that are in the trunk lid and in the rear deck where the speakers are. what do you guys recommend for that?

I would still try and use dynamat or something to that extend, it would be just a matter of having small pieces cut out to fit. I think the process would be a lot easier vs. spraying it. I have personally dynamated my trunk and it works great. Although not to the extend of what youre trying to do, but I believe it is possible with some time and work.

the spray is perfect for hard to reach place. when i removed my rear panels, i could just spray the strut tower much easier than trying to get my hands in there to lay dynamat and get it to stick securely. for large flat surfaces i would use sheets, for the hard to reach areas or parts with lots of little spaces, i would spray it.
