Someone get me up to speed with what is new (mods/power adders)

Last I was here Scalbert turboed his CLS. Someone else stroked their TL to a 3.5 , and I was running 13.5s . So what is out there, what are people putting down, and what are the current slip times?

Alot of people on the CL side are starting to build their motors to 3.5's, 3.6's, and 3.7's

2 or 3 people have done Honda Oddysey motor swaps, and 2 people have swapped their CLS auto's into a 6-speed

What is really required for a stroke like that? I recall that the 3.5 stroker, was nothing more than a swap of the rods. Are there any differences between the three setups, aside from more power? Could you please supply me with a link.

The 3.5 vs 3.6 is all crank and rods. depending on CR people tend to use the RL pistons to get the 10.5:1? CR. The 3.7 is a whole other beast. It uses the crank and rods from the 07+ MDX (J37) the pistons are 90mm which you would have to bore the sleeve 1mm. So not really intended for boost.

From the 3.5, 3.6, and 3.7 your looking at some HP gains but mostly TQ.

Ok what about FI? Is Comptech the only option out there for FI. Does anyone make a turbo kit for the CL? What about tuning, is Comptech the only option out there?

Many thanks for the links and replys 'all.

Comptech is the only supercharger and for turbo you got to go custom.

OK but what about tuning? Are there people out there that have successfully used stand alones? Is Comptech the only tuners out there? Has someone release an open source for tuning our ECUs? Will Comptech make custom maps/tunes?

There's no custom tuning for our ecus. For stand alones greddy emanage and some are trying to get the aem fic to work. Comptech doesn't make custom

Those are piggy backs. There arent any plug and play stand alones available, sadly.

A few of us on here have stroked motors. Im running a 3.6l because I want to have the option for boost. I was going to turbo it but its a daily driver, and I just recently sold my turbo kit.

I havent tracked my car yet but I plan on it. Im trying to get my new intake running properly on it (hopefully on Monday it'll be all set).

And pics of your CL?
