I think you mean dyno

I don't think that he'll be doing it considering he just put his car up for sale..... http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...5&pagenumber=1

I am with you though... I'd like to see a totally stock CL-S run on a dyno, then install the OBX, and dyno them again.

I am also curious about their quality.. but with Nashua living in New Hampshire.. by spring we should have a good idea how they held up since they will be put through the elements of a NH winter.....

thanks for the correction jb, been doing some software application demos at work...

i didn't know the other guy was selling his ride, kinda got lost in all the postings...

Nash as usual did a great job, but i was interested in seeing another as well...

can't explain it, but for some reason, i'm still a bit on the fence with this, the group buy is cool and indeed a good deal, however $400 or $500 its not that much difference to insure quality, y'know? some of the local civic guys i know, haven't spoken real highly about OBX, but that could just be them...

i figure I still have a week or two to think about it on this group buy.. we'll see. i'm leasing my car and still have over two years to go, so i think it would be worth it, if it holds up and the car is more fun to drive...

I think I'm in for sure.. I was waiting to see the 2nd Dyno, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

I think for the $400 it's WELL worth the risk.

I put my check in the mail about 45 mins. before this came out. I was very nervous. I feel like a million dollars now. This is how a reputable company should respond.

They're made out of stainless steel, so what can really go wrong? They aren't going to rust.

Unless they have crappy welds, or super-thin mounting flanges (they warp and leak), headers are headers.

Keep in mind many people defend the fact they lay down $1200 beans for a couple pieces of bent pipe from Comptech. It's just freaking pipe!

yes it is just a pipe but your paying for the R & D of developing a header. Essentially the OBX headers are just a cheap knock off with sloppier welds. Comptech has had header dominance when it comes to our cars for some time now, it seems like they would have recouped the price of R & D and carb approval by now and lowered the price. But they didn't lower price and that gave OBX an opportunity to make cheaper headers for half the price and still make money after shipping. Headers for $400 with shipping is about right. I'm gonna get the OBX headers because if they do break I can buy another set of brand new ones and still have spent less then the Comptech. I don't think theres any chance of them breaking since its stainless steel and if it does break can be easily welded by anybody that knows basic welding. It's quite obvious that Comptech made a large amount of money off the headers and the price never really came down. In the voice of competition I feel they need to get off their high horse and lower the price if they want continue to make money off their headers. It will be interesting when the Prototype headers come out. I'm sure their very pissed at Comptech because they were making bank off their headers, but unfortunately they kept them out of the price range of many. Hmm 500 or 1000? Some will say comptech headers are higher quality than OBX and I agree they are but I just want something to be cheap and do the job and thats what the OBX headers do.

I might miss out on the $400 group buy but I will try to get it in before the deadline but will def be getting them soon!!

Yes, I did get them from the group buy. Well I sent my money today and sent an email to tell him to put me on the list. He has already replied back, twice. You may want to hurry to get in in time. Here is the link
