So hello,

All of you have noticed.. i have been trying to sell my car for the past 2 months. And that hasnt happened.

The realization has set in for me, that my car is really only worth about 7k.

Nevertheless, there are aspects of this car i hate and aspects i love.
And in a tribute that my final try will fail and i will keep this car.

i shall list them.

The bad
Tranny problem
No compass
Rattles
body roll


The good
Heated seats that burn (oddly, i like the sensation)
The ability to woop 260hp Mustang GTs (right? ive never tried but seen it before oh well i shall gloat about it anyway)
I have a color not made in canada ( so if i move to canada which may happen il be popular? )
acceleration
Sound
MAN I LOVE THE WAY IT SOUND WHEN I STAND BEHIND MY CAR AND PUSH THE AUTO START button WOOOOOH!
Its NOT attractive to cops.
it warms up quick
it sounds like an airplane sometimes (or its my imagination)
the smootheness, i cant appreciate that enough, even after driving a BMW 5 series, this was so nice on the highway OMG its so nice.
em, It makes you look like a professional with a need for speed
HID's
Trunk Space is nice
The 17 inch rims somehow look like jet engines when i watch my car pull in.
the fact i can be going 80 and still be at like 2.4 RPM. :-D!!
Redlines at almost 7
i get looks.

Now i am not saying i hate my car, but when i buy a car next time, it DEFFINATLEY wont be a Variable Power Steering Wheel, and it DEFF wont be white.

Other than that, being an 18 year old, im happy with my car.

and quick Q, can i just put in ANY hid bulb in my car?

 

No compass? That's easily solved.

I bought a "Type S" compass from Pep Boys for about 5 bucks and attached it to the rear-view mirror, doesn't look tacky at all.

 

im gunna go look for it, that pisses me off, it has EVERYTHING except a compass, i dont know my NSEW

 

why are you trying to sell it? is it because of auto?

 

No i have a new trans in there, its because, i needed a 4 door, but oh well now.

Its still a hot car. deff beats an accord (in a sense of brand and HP.)

 

lol honda = acura... come to think of it... we are paying a bit more for the brand acura.

the acura tsx is the euro accord... so it would have been cheaper with the honda name...

parents, not to mention, this tranny thing is a hassle. i mean you know its like this

1- light goes on-hopings its just a glitch reset battery
2- 7 days......light comes back on...panic sets in of how im going to pay for it
3- set up an appt with acura for a check engine diagnoses
4- find out its tranny and know your nightmare is now a reality.
5- First be REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY NICE about getting a goodwill tranny
5b if a doesnt work, threaten with a lawsuit.
6- be sure your also filling out the financing papers for the AAMCO tranny service.
7A be satisfied you got a new tranny from acura.
7B CRY and then go out and dish out a 300 dollar payment every month for the next X months.

and its goin to suck, cuz im going to medical school and i will have to keep this car, if something breaks! oh well i cant afford it.

Thats when you turn around and buy a Nissan Stanza after spending 10k on an acura.

Why am i so upset?

i paid 10k for acuras name, no wait, i paid 10k for their reliability? what did i get? a hole in my pocket ever 100k or less.

thats just the way i see, i just got screwed by acura.
Anyhow, reality is reality.

 

yea il be getting married in couple years. Well atleast i plan it that way. NO GF, i believe in arranged marriages (no flames please).

 

yeah, acura/honda chose to go with a bad auto transmission... not their fault entirely, i dont think they make that part... they should have tested it better... but even if... they should offer a better trans replacement instead of the same effed up trans.


i think you should get rid of it since it is an auto. i'd rather drive a different car than to have a car with big problems (trans in your case).


that's why im buying a 6 MT cl-s.

Yea, i am still selling, the cars great no problems, new tranny and its good for 100k if you take care of it.

So when i pull up, its like unloading a clown car, and i have to park and help my parents out because they are older. If i had a 4 door, in an out, no help!

 

ahaha i feel ya, ionno why but parents always make the younger one drive... i always drive. i hope that changes once i get my 6 speed =P

anyhow, even after we get married i would NOT sleep in the same bed with her for a couple of days/weeks until i get to REALLY know her.

funny, nearly every 6mt CL i've seen around where I live has always been cheaper than the autos...im guessing the dealers are just using the fact that most ppl buy autos to give them reason to sell auto at higher price?


i think the navigation has a compass, though i'm not 100% sure...too lazy to go check right now.

 

If I were you, I'd be lucky to get $7k. The Subaru/Acura dealership here offered me $4k.

I feel ya on the transmission issue. Scares the sh^! out of me just thinking about it. I definetly can't afford to replace the transmission if it goes and I am at 137000, but i also can't afford a new car. And the local dealer only offered me 5,500. Love the car not the tranny.

 

6 mt are really rare so i guess that might be the reason?
