so far they haven't said anything about the cai. but still there is no loaner car for me. can u choose the loaner or they just give u what they have? like the RL

 

I think you can request but I'm pretty sure you get what they give you. Personally, I'd be livid if they didn't have a car for me while they had to do a tranny on mine.

 

I doubt they will say anything about the CAI. If it makes you feel any better, when I took mine in, they not only replaced the tranny and all the mounts, but they also replaced one of my front strut that was leaking. And I had H&R Sport springs at the time. They didn't even blink.

As for requesting your car....I forsee a TSX or an Enterprise Special (POS) in your near future. Maybe a TL if you're lucky.

 

I used to be able to ask the service deparment ladies for the car I wanted to drive, and they'd usually reserve it for me. It all depends on how they are feeling.

 

You won't get an RL, maybe a TL though.

I just got my car back from getting a new tranny today the dealer only had it for a day and a half and the replaced the mounts too

 

wow that was fast! dealer told me a wk.

 

that's how long my process took. very quick. what's with all these trannies going out at the same time?

i got just a TSX. i was about to ask for a TL, but oh well.

 

All the 01s are now hitting that 59000- 70000 mile mark. Thats about the average end mark for the tranny.

 

just hit 49000 on my 01 type s

 

I just hit 64,000 when it went

 

Dunno about that...my 01 CL went at 28k. Friend's 01 CL-S went at 19k.

 

I had a loaner 05 RL for 2 weeks once while my 02 TL was being repaired. They were going to give me a TSX (for the 4th time in a row) and I said "Do you by chance have anything larger?" and they said "How about an RL? Will that work?" and I said "Absolutely".

Drove away in a Lakeshore Silver 05 RL, put 1500 miles on it in 2 weeks. It was fun since it was so new to me, but after 2 weeks the gas mileage wasn't great and it just wasn't much fun to drive.

 

I had a TL when my CL-S went in for the tranny change (lost my first tranny @ 70K km)...
