I just watched all 23 minutes of that video. At first, it was extremely exciting to watch but once they started going through the city streets, my attitude changed...

Since I like to jog in the streets, I was cringing at seeing them fly along triple digit speeds. You wouldn't even have a chance to react if you inadvertently stepped in front of one of those cars. Guaranteed, one of the drivers or somebody else will be killed if they continue filming this stuff. Even though it's exciting to watch, it's just plain stupid to put people at risk.

At one point, they show the Supra doing 310kmh (over a 190mph) on a city street... Come on, these guys have gone way beyond just having fun with a short burst of speed. I personally hope these guys get arrested and have their driver's licenses revoked. Fortunately, they're not driving the streets in this country.

Go ahead and flame me but I feel pretty strongly about putting innocent people at risk just to get a "cool" street racing video.

Okay, there were some interesting parts at the end. That Escort pulls off a 1/4 in 11.20 at 212 kmh (131mph) so it's not all bad...

Heh, that was a pretty sweet video. I kinda agree about the city street thing. I can see hitting high speed on the highway at dawn... but the city street shit was CRAZY.

The police had NO chance. You'd think they would break out the choppers on those 2 maniacs, but instead they tried to chase them in an SUV and some other crap.

All in all, highly entertaining to watch.

Now... where can I get a sleeper escort like that?

 

I didn't watchit... People complain their internat radio isn't working when I download stuff. Anyway, is is possibe some of the street part isn't real? Can they use special effects to make itlooklike they were going that fast? Change the speedometer like they did on Back to The Future to make it look like the car could do 120?

 

awe man, that was an awesome video. Crazy for sure! Sorta like the the hood cam on GT3 or Sega GT on Dream Cast.

 

They're bulbs for the turn signals that are less orange looking (to help do away with that "fried egg" look) but still glow amber when on. I posted some pics comparing them to the stock bulbs here: http://albums.photopoint.com/j/Album...a=12444683&f=0 The Osram Diadems also shown on that link look better but they wouldn't work since they're only single filament bulbs.

That's the problem I had with that video. There's no question it's all real. If it were faked or filmed in a less populated area or under controlled settings like The Fast and the Furious was, all would be good. Maybe the shot of the Supra's speedo doing a 190 mph was enhanced but they were still flying. They should enter the Silver State Classic in Nevada if they want to film some high-speed road racing. Oh well, it was exciting and I don't think anybody would be dumb enough to make a video like that in this country.

Damn it! 56k sucks. BTW there was talk it was all staged and film effects were used and some say it wasn't. BTW there was a first one with a Porsche, anyone see that?

 

yah Ive seen the porsche one, The 2nd one was like 100x better though IMO. I doubt that it was staged. It looked 100% legit to me. Pure craziness. Id love to try it, (if i knew i wouldnt die in the process of course)

Do a search on Morpheus. I downloaded it from there after the link disappeared. Gotta love the sound of the BOV. Funny how the Ford ran like hell, but the Supra was never more than one step behind.
