The ride does get pretty annoying, but I don't know. they'd have to be really nice 18s with spokes that go all the way out to the tire, that way they look bigger.

it's the size of the sidewall that results in a harsh ride...not the size of the rim. I would never ever EVER in a million years go back to 18s. But...if you like 18's with balloon tires, go for it.

Problem is I am not sure you can get much bigger than a 35 series tire with 19s and a drop...

The 35 series sidewall is what makes for a harsh ride..............I think that if I got 18"s with a 40 series tire, the ride might be a little easier on my lower spine

the ride with 18's and a drop isn't that great either... but i think 18's is too small for the CL...the car is way too big...

p.s. are your Hagens silver or hypersilver...this guy was tellin me about the hypersilver hagens, he says they're a lighter shade of silver....ever seen em? opinions?

SHIT, I think 18’s and Comptech’s are pretty rough-riding.
I’ve never ridden in a car with 19’s and rubber band tires.
I can’t imagine driving like that every day.

i have 18 giovani corsicas and i have had 2 blowouts already in the 5 months and i have replaced 3 total tired since i put the 18s on in dec. the last one was ripping around THE SIDE WALL by the tread and i didnt want to risk it. The roads in fl suck balls and i have the hardest drive to work everyday. i hope these tires last cause i want to put them on my next car too, wither a gs400 or maxima or if they fit, the g3 coupe.

18s are not much if at all better.

this is from many miles on the road in cl/tls with 19s and 18s.

if you want a better ride put your stocks back on with some all season tourings

I got 19's on, and I don't think it much different than my friends TL with 18's. Is yours 235/35/19? or 215/35/19. I think that might make a little difference.

Also, make if you upgrade your suspension, it would help too. Because I think my car rides pretty nice for the lower+big rim combo. IMO.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

Yes they do, always under construction. I hate this shit with 35 series tires, you feel all the crappiness of the roads and have to worry about not fucking up your wheels.

I have stock chromies. Got them from my Acura Dealership, they had to order them. Don't know exactly from where, but they got'em for me. Doe anyone know if Comptech springs and stocks are pretty rough? Or is it similar to a stock ride? Willing to trade you straight up for your of 19's!!!!!!!!

maybe you just need new shocks......

I didn't notice too much of a difference in ride quality when I swtiched from 17 to 19s in my 330i.

But going 215/35 as opposed to 235/35 will definitely give you a rubber band tire.
