Shock Sensor Help

Might belong in the AV section , but I figured I'd get more help. I had a full set of printed instructions, from 2 different people, & I still couldn't do it. I did get the ground. The yellow wire with silver dots confused me. I saw one of these wires, but it went right into the top left corner of the fuse panel. I saw it when I opened the fuse door. Didn't know if it was the correct wire. If it was I didn't see why I had to tap it in the wire bundle. For power, I saw the U box, but in my attempt to plug the wire in, I guess I bet the prong, & now it's bent inside the gray panel. I tried to get the front panel off, by taking the 2 screws out, but it still wouldn't budge. how do I get that off. Also if I can't use the U box for power, can I use one of the others I saw.

I Tried to. I took those 2 screws out, & couldn't get that front panel off. Seems like there was something holding it on by the console area.

yup, it is hood.

Jason,

Check for metal latch that holds the control box to the dash. Look for it at places indicated in the below picture. It's been a while so I dont remember exactly where it is.

I'll see. Now in the pic the yellow circle is where that yellow wire is by the fuse box. Can I just tap it there? & if I did bend the U prong too much, & can't use it, can I use one of the other ones, or just tap another power source.

I wouldn't know it since I didn't test it. However, if 2 wires have the same color, do NOT assume they are the same. I encountered a case in our car already.

Just connect the red wire to any constanst voltage source (battery).
