i have an 03 cl-s ecu but they want 125 to program key so im goin to a mechanic he gonna check oil pressure and vtec switch, if everything seems fine, will program key for 03 cl-s ecu!

u would not get fuel cut at 5800 as u say ...but really 5500 which is the limp mode park/neutral fuel cut parameter ... it would happen at 4800 when the car would try to change to the high lift high duratation part of the cam

but i've gotten the REAL limp mode and car is tooootally different in limp mode, im talking bout 3000 cut off!!

i've read somewhere where oil pressure not enough for vtec but not bad enough to send CEL
it's my last resort, ive tried everything!

anything oil/vtec is gonna show at exactly 4800keep trying random crap and spend more time and money or find out what it really is and fix it .... can u get me a good vid of sound of engine while displaying its symptoms ? also do u have asccess to a code reader just because theres no CEL doesnt means theres no info there ... the service dept has a device called consult or something to that affect they can see everything going on with that tool

i change solenoid...
CEL is ONLY emissions (straight pipe)
i unplugged and replugged 'green' oil pressure switch...
its a J32A2 so its for sure a type-s...
like i said, car drives purrrrrfect except for the 5800 part but i dont even race like that, im jus puzzled!

the reason why i was asking you to check the solenoid was to first see if it works. if it did work, then check to see if its getting power when its suppose to. the way you can do that is by tapping a wire into it and run it to a light on your dash so as soon as the ecu gives it signal, that light will turn on too. There could possibly a problem somewhere between the solenoid and the ecu.

Answered!!!
Bad connection at the switch, mechanic just cleaned connectors and that was it!
