Rotor replacement questions

I took my 03 CL-S to the dealer yesterday for an oil change and they gave me an estimate for $1100 to do the the brakes, alignment and change all the fluids which I thought was absurd. They want $375 for the front & $375 for the rear for new pads and to resurface the rotors plus $40 to rotate the tires when they'd already be off to do the brakes. Acura of Ocean is a rip off! I'm wondering if anyone knows of good rotors and pads that are cheap but not garbage. I figure I could just get new rotors & pads and do it myself for a lot cheaper so I'm asking for some recomandations on rotors and pads I dont care if there drilled, slotted, both or just standard vented. I dont wanna pay a ton of money but I also dont wanna put some of those garbage brakes on my car either its only got 44k miles on it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Wow 1100 and they don't even give you new rotors. Highway robbery. I guess I am not surprised they get away with it.

For rotors and pads you can look on heeltoes or other sites. Ebc, hawk, etc.

I had good luck with Racing Brake rotors. I got them from Marcus at Heel Toe.

DBA front, and ebc rear.... no problems now that i use hawk pads.

I ever so slightly developed a vibration from my cross drilled dba rotors cause the pads were not the best, i still have them in the garage and will put them back on once the slotted ones i have now wear out, but this time with hawk pads instead of the napa adaptive one pads they are called. one side is ceramic and the other is a composite of some sort. and one side wore out quicker than the other and the heat from braking created a vibration so i believe which is why i kept the rotors. and dba's cool down faster than any other oem replacement style rotor

After having Brembo blanks, I decided to go with Centric rotors. I am pretty happy with them 15K miles after it, still did not warp...
