removing the heater core unit

What direction is the heater core unit go when removed ?
Can it be taking out from the right or do I need to dismantle the front metal structure where the radio goes ?
Making a last choice before the track to remove it or if it's worth the time vs weight to get it out.

Well lets put it like this fella's :

If you don't have a problem with your heater core or plan on permently deleting it don't do it. It's not a quick swap piece.
I had to remove the whole dash including the whole metal support all the way across. Big pain in the ass my manual said 3 bolts and I fought with that f'n thing for 30 minutes before taring everything apart.

I didn't weigh it yet but I don't think it was worth the 5-6lbs for the amount of labor involved.
