removing decals from visors

Anyone remove the decals from their visor? The mirror side seems possible, but the fabric side probably isn't possible.

I wish i woulda thought about doing this while I was without power for 48hrs due to an ice storm..

I would start with a rag soaked with goo-gone, and go from there.

don't try it - I don't think the results would be pretty.

goo gone can sometimes fawk up fabrics.

i'm not going to attempt the fabric decals, but at least the one on the mirror cover. I'm thinking that cover can be removed from the visor.

The one on the mirror cover comes right off. The one on the visor fabric is an iron-on patch. Do not try to remove it.

have you removed them before? anything better then goo-gone?

again. i'm talking about the decals on the plastice mirror cover, not the iron ons.

If anyone knows how to remove the iron on's though, i'm all ears.

Hairdryer to heat it up. It should peel right off. Use GooGone to clean up any remaining adhesive.

Who is up for it

We need a test subject.... for the IRONED on one....

Someone take their visor off and either try streaming it off, with that steam buggy/shark thing or using an iron to heat it up and remove it... Do a whole write up on it.. take lots of pics...

I got this little china-men guy who does all my dry cleaning. i am half tempted to take it to him... he is awesome..

I was thinking..... Why dont one of you guys who are great with computers take a graphic of a Type-S symbol and format it so that it prints on everyone's computer to the same size as the ironed patch. That way all we would have to do is print it... laminate it... and stick it over that ugly patch.

I would have already done that, but I suck with computers.

I got a laminating machine... but so does Kinkos... anyone want to go into business with me...LOL.. A sticker will do fine that size. no need to laminate...

Hey.. how about a nice thin piece of aluminum that has ACURA etched into it.... nah.. that will cut your fingers...

If you took longer trips, you could use more. Also, used to hold
registration and insurance papers.. YMMV

tru tru... i got one... but this is a quick fix... Not interested in it.. I got a glove box that locks my information up, that way if i leave my window slightly down I don;t have to worry about my shit getting stolen and paying for a new registration card...LOL

Alright who else is gonna come up with another idea.... Don;t worry about me.. worry about the question at hand...

P.S. sorry I got 3 cars to drive and I don't stack the miles on my whip... Bought my whip back in May and still got less than 4800 miles on it...LOL..

Alright guys, honestly.... I was dead serious about my idea. I know for a fact that one of you can find a "Type S" graphic somewhere and post it somehow, so that we can print it. I am a dumbass when it comes to that shit, and frankly, I am a little drunk right now! So, for Crist's sake, come up with a decal that we can all look up at everday with pride indstead of looking up and going, " shit, that is the only thing that Acura could have done that looks remotely shitty on this car."

Peace and Love Bitches! Word to your muthas!

I used a hair dryer and a steamer for the fabric side on my old sebring--It worked OK, but if you looked close enough you could see an outline of where the label used to be
