These are pictures I took not so long ago of my Black CLS next to my Red CLS.

I uploaded them to the server then forgot to post. DOH!


Anyway, the black CLS is lowered on Ground Control's and has SilverKnight grill... the red on Comptech's with gutter mesh grill.

( the red was kinda dirty. sorry, it gets no love! )

I guess we all our options , I just got a new 2002 black Cls with spoiler, I personally wouldn't have the car without the spoiler.

my car is too low for the mudguards... ive seen mudguards on a low car do some serious fender damage if they get caught on something. no thanks...

had them on my TL anyway... they didnt do shit

moonroof visor... don't like the looks... prolly functions great tho.

fenderwell trim = dont need anything else in there to cause rubbing


but ya, weve all got different tastes when it comes to dealer options... personally i dont like many of them.

I got the spoiler put on afterwards, but i think it was a mistake. Especially if you have rims i think it looks a lot nicer w/o the spoiler. Can i take it off or are there screw holes and shit now?

the moon roof visor looks like shit, totally ruins the smooth flow of the car...same for fenderwell trim and the damn spoiler...it's not a race car, it's a very nice smooth saloon...don't mess up it's best feature....the view of it's curves from the side...geesh!

 

sure, if u want a PLAIN, BORING, ORDINARY CL-S...the spoiler makes the car look good in the back!!! otherwise, it would look like a J30 with no spoiler!!

as for the fenderwell trim and visor, they enhance the color scheme i got goin on my car, and once u put them on, esp the fenderwell trim, u'll realize the car looks naked without em!!

the spoiler, fenderwell trim and visor does not make the car any less sporty of a car...if people like u dismiss its racecar-like qualities b/c of this added stuff, all the more sweeter when i see yer face after nailin yer ass on the track lol

 

When I was buying the Type Slow, I felt that the back looked sorta incomplete, so that was the reason why I felt it looked better with a spoiler. But as I look now, I kinda think that it does not really need it, but still looks great if you have one. Reminds me of the old Altima with a droopy but. The same scenario, I thought it looked good with a spoiler when buying it, but then realized that it looks better without it.

Mud Flaps dont do much on this car, but look good together with the sunroof visor.

 

The CL-S's rear end looks LONGER when it DOESN'T have a spoiler (especially black ones it seems), but I like the look of it without the spoiler just as much as with.

I also like how both cars have a slight rake which looks a billion times better than the "saggy-ass" look.

Love the wheels, now get some tint, Adam.

How rough is the ride?

 

defeats the purpose of me getting the stuff...i wanted all my accessories b/c they offer a nice contrast with the red...PLUS, they match the ebony interior, so my color scheme is red, silver, and black...and the accessories are subtle, not flat out screaming for attention either.

 

The black one looks better, but then again I'm biased.:P

How is the ride of the ground controls compared to the Comptechs?

 

it rides like absolute shit just like my rsx-s does with gc's.

by far mine is worse though....how can they sell shit like this is beyond me!

well... in warm weather... when new... the Ground Control's ride near identical to the Comptech's


however, now that theyve been through the winter... with all the salt and snow bank hopping... their not aging well.

they ride like crap when its cold.


when it warms up (like yesterday, 65 degrees) the ride isnt so bad. but definately not as smooth as Stock or Comptechs.


my car would ride alot better if I raised it up. It has settled prolly a good 3/4 inch more in front and I lowered it more in back since I shot those pics... so... the ride isnt great... it certainly isnt as shitty as phil's RSX tho... that thing is like riding in a tin can.


the 19's really don't hurt the ride quality that much over stock. In fact, before the car was lowered I could barely tell the difference between my 19's and my 17's....

Soopa love the Black cls, reminds me of my baby when it is clean :'( What is the shine by ? Blackfire or Zaino? I use blackfire all the time and i kinda get that shine you have!

I am with soopa on not having a spoiler....takes away the curves and lines of the car.

Fenderwell trim? unless you have it on a black or blue Cls.

ThoroDred: That is with prolly like 3 coats of Zaino and those pics were taken in December. So it had sufficient amounts of crap on it even tho it looks clean.

mffdvr: I think imma go with 35% all round... I don't really like real dark tint... I get pulled over enough. They already make me "step out of the car" 4 out of 5 times I get pulled over... so I fear giving them more incentive.
