Rapid and dim turn signal w/ Sylvania's

Finally got around to clearing the headlights, and I stuck in the Sylvania 1157's that Smitty was selling extras of. Great color both off and on. My problem now is my turn signals are extremely rapid (even the stock rear ones) as if something is wrong with the load on the circuit. Also, the blinking filament does not light up very bright, so you can't even really tell they are blinking when the headlights are on since the always-on filament completely masks it. Any ideas?

Thats weird I have had the same lights now for about 4months now and I have never experienced this problem. It sounds like you have a light out some where due to the fast blinking. As far as the light being dim, no clue

the only reason it would blink fast is if the flasher relay is shot, bulb in that circuit is dead or you installed LED's

It's funny you mention that, because I couldn't get them to go in one way... so I flipped them 180 degrees around and tried that way, and they popped in. I'll recheck them, thanks.

It could be backwards, or possibly the socket or the ground is dirty, had that on a former car of mine.

They were in backwards. Now the turn signal is using the filament that is very bright and the parking light is dimmer. Thanks.

Only took me like 10 minutes too. Should have taken the time to do it sooner. I also want to test taking the bulb out that used to be behind the diffuser to see how that would affect the circuit.
