Raced an 05 RSX-S !

Ran into a nice black 2005 RSX-S tonight at a light. He had a passenger and so did I. I said to my buddy "this is going to be way too easy." Well that was before I remembered that the 05 RSX-S is quite more potent than previous years due to much more agressive gearing (I think a 4.90 FD?)

Anyhow, with that said, we did a 10mph roll-on and I ran for through my first three gears. We were dead even through 1st and 2nd and I was just inching ahead of him in 3rd, very very slowly though. From what I could tell, he had an exhaust - I don't know what else. I followed him a few seconds after the race and exchaged 's.

Well that is all, just wanted to share!

yea, their gearing is the same as the type R's out in japan. Only difference is, no LSD I believe.

I can pick up OBX headers for cheap $, but I don't want cheap quality. Alphawerks doesn't make any for the 6spd's and Comptech's too expensive.

I don't want this car to become a money pit, it's quick, but it's not a dragster. In truth, I'm pretty much saving up for a Z06 which I plan to buy in 1 or 2 years from now, given that my priorities don't change.

Why not make your 6-speed quicker than a Z06? Save the interest you are going to pay...

Because it will never have the V8 sound and all-motor powerband that I am looking for. And it will not have exotic supercar performance in acceleration/braking/handing at a price of only 25G's (what a 2002 Z06 will cost in 1or 2 years... right now they can be found for just under 30G's).
