quick question i have folks...regarding CAI installation

me and a buddy, both know NOTHING about installing stuff on cars, are gonna attempt the installation ourselves...

what tools do we need?
is there a web page with instructions?

i remember a link but dont have it..thanks...

Hate to plug this, but Xephyr site has really good directions....at least we can get something out of him....
Btw, it's not AEM, but it's basically the same thing (it has pictures and descriptions)

haha ok after reading those links, i think i'l install later, i thought i was one of the ones that could get it done in 2-3 hours...but after reading that...shieit..

hahaha .... oh come on, dude. I got my "modified" CAI install in less than an hour with no instruction, no previous experience. As a matter of fact, 5 days before I bought the CAI, I didnt even know what the hell a CAI was. I heard it all the time but has no clue what it does or looks like.
This is what you do. remove all the screws and/or bolts and/or nuts that get on your way. break off any thing that stick out and pose a thread of scratching you, and if you can push/twist it in, HAMMER it in. Good luck.

oh yeah-the best trick to a speed install is a good rachet set and some long extensions for where the box is mounted to the frame...good luck

20 mins dayaam that is fast.. 1.5 hours here.. but yea u will be happy to have done the job yourself.. even if it takes you the worthwhile 2-3 hours like u said

It's much easier than it reads.
I'd say an hour tops. (If you have decent equipment)
