question bout icebox

my friend has a brand new comptech icebox for sale. "Only thing missing is the Comptech Plastic intake arm" is that a need to have it on? cause he says i can just use the stock arm. and how can you tell if its for a 6speed or for a auto. he also has new headers springs and foam filter if anyone is interested.

edit:and he said it was for a V6 accord. and the link he posted it with has the part number 330-140

My 6-speed Icebox model # is 330-142. I'm not sure how just the tube would have gone missing (assuming it is the box->TB tube), but I would test fit it before commiting to anything. I know the autos and 6-speed have different part numbers, and it is a pretty snug fit as it is. I have my doubts about the stock tube working with the aftermarket box, but it has been a while since the install.

What type of springs does he have for sale?

Remember that the auto type-s has the second TB and the 6-speed doesn't. The intake hose is a 6 inch difference between the two.

If you want it, you may have to do some chopping on the intake arm to make it fit.

You mean the Auto has VSA and the 6spd doesn't. Cause thats the length diffrence.

OP the stock tube probably won't work well because the comptech tube is a larger diameter
