Question about mating...
Mating an engine and transmission that is you nasty perverts!
No, really. I had a strange idea today but before attempting any move, I wanted to first gather some unprecedented knowledge from my fellow members here. Now that I've buttered everyone up to give exceptional advice, here we go.
I need to know if my transmission from my old J32A2 (from an 03 TL-S) engine would bolt up to a J35A6 (from an 05 Odyssey) engine? Would it be direct replacement in terms of mating the two. I'm 100% aware that there are various other things that will need to be done in order to have them operate together.
And please, to help avoid any confusion or conflict, if you're not sure about any information with this PLEASE don't contribute. I appreciate everybody's help and will not forget about you next time you have any electrical problem on your car! :-)

I would assume it would bolt up.
If there was a issue it might be between the flex plate and convertor witch would be nothing.
reason I say this is I have a newer tl trans and that year oddessy is supposed to have the same bolt pattern. But once I installed the j37 crank in the j32 block. when the flex plate was bolted to the crank it sat right against the crank seal cover and I had to make a spacer to make everything fit.
I am not sure if the crank is shorter. If it is then you might have enough to slide the convertor a little more forward or make so kind of spacer if needed.
Just speculating.

Thats actually who I'm going to call here in a bit. I thought late 06 and early 07 TL-S' have the different 'newer' style bellhousings btw...
I'm guessing you've looked at the 3G TL/Oddy trans thread right?
