Problem Starting car

This morning, I was goin to use My 03CL-S and the car did not want to start. I turn the key about 5 times and it made the noise like it wanted to start, but never turn over. The battery is not dead according to my charger and base on the all the dash light and stereo they turn on with no dimming side effects. Yes! the clucth was depressed during the attempts. No belts are broken as I can see into the engine bay. What the heck could be going on with the car? The car only has 5678 miles and it always garaged.

Time to call the dealer. I was going to say, make sure the clutch is pressed all the way to the floor, but I guess you've got that covered.

That happened to me (once). I don't know what it was but she would crank and crank but not start. I gave it a little gas pedal input, and she started right up. Hasn't happened to me since, so I don't know what it was.

On fuel injected cars, your not surposed to give it any gas, but I was brought up on carburators. When they used to flood out, you could sometimes get them to start with the gas pedal to floor (or opening the butterfly all the way).

Some times cars are just tempermental, more of a bitch then a machine.

Could be a faulty starter.

if it is, tow truck, and parts and service are under warranty.

Your tow bill would be Zero, Acuras on the other hand would be $55 for intial and first mile and whatever it is for each additonal. I don't know a dollar or so. so maybe $175.

Every once in ableu moon these cars have the odd no start .We have never had much luck trying to diag this off the wall problem as it is so ultra rare when it does happen .Unless it is a continous problem I would not get too concerned .Just a car being a car .

dfv3.2CL-S: Any update ??

Just curious if it was a onetime thing or if you had a problem that the dealership needed to address.

You need triple A's Gold package for towing. They will tow up to 100 miles.

Hard to have dealer diagnose intermittent problems like that but sounds like the starter must be at fault....
