Problem With E-Manage Install

Ok so on Wednesday I dropped off my car to have my blower and emanage installed. I thought I would be picking it up today but the shop just called and said there's a problem. When they hooked up the boomslang and set the jumper settings it blew the coil fuse ( i think). They replaced the fuse and tried again, and it will crank but won't start. then they put it back to the factory setting and it starts. They called greddy and couldn't figure out why. They googled "acura cl emanage jumpers" and found a post from here from thinjim, tried those settings and still won't work. Comptech won't open for a couple hours. They are going to try using a different emanage there at the shop to see if maybe mine is bad. What else can they do?

The shop's other emanage didn't work either. Any ideas? Oh, and apparently the new comptech doesn't offer any support for any of the old comptech products.

Still no luck with emanage. They wired the comptech esm and it runs. Its rich but drivable and no cel. Haven't given up on emanage but he said this should work til its figured out.

I used the boomslang harness and the E-Manage was set exactly as pictured in ThinJim's post - worked fine. At first, we missed one of the settings and blew a fuse like you. We went back and double checked the settings and corrected to match ThinJim's and all was good.

Just to clarify, you know the ESM has to be removed when you install the E-Manage and the harness needs to be reverted to stock right? Also, did you load a base map into the unit?

Not sure if this will help you or not but here's a link to Scalbert's install manual for his Hope Aftercooler and EManage.

Here's another great thread on EManage setup. It's a lot of posts but gather what you need out of it.

I wasn't at the shop during setup or dyno. Pretty sure I had the jumpers set like thinjims when I dropped it off, not certain but he said he found the post and checked the settings and then blew a fuse. Comptech esm was not in at that time. Car wouldn't even start with emanage, dyno is using the comptech esm. Not sure how many different settings were tried with emanage. When I got it back it looked like thinjims except JP3 used bottom 2 pins. He said that has nothing to do with ignition and would not cause the car to not start.

Possibly because of this post?

Not that I know of. EManage is not vehicle specific that I've ever heard.

I mean because of the map or how it was tuned before. Would they need to use the support tool to set a new map before starting the car?

The wiring? Or the jumper settings inside? Here is for the jumper settings.
