Problem

Hey I have an 01 cl type s.. Having a problem.. I went to start the car yesterday after it sat all night... i kept cranking and would not start....i cycled the key a few times thinking the fuel pump wasnt working it eventually started. Then it worked fine the rest of the day.....then when it sat over night same problem real rough time starting..i replaced the coil packs and plugs like 6 mos ago..... what could it be?

fuel leak down? easy way to checl is to put a fuel pressure guage on it and check it the next day.

Yeah i am not really sure...someone said the fuel pump or the fuel filter...

The fuel filter is attached to the fuel pump which is in the gas tank.

You sure your battery is ok? Cables?

Its funny you mention the battery... There was some corrosion around the terminals about a week ago and it cause problems during start , i cleaned it off though. And when that happen it wouldn't crank at all... it is cranking strong now and the radio/nav kicks on so there is good power... its odd i got done work at 11:30 pm last night , started right up...I had to go somewhere this morning at 8am started right up...so i am not sure what is going on or even what to do ??

Get the battery tested. Most auto stores will do it for free.

Agreed. I had leakage around my battery which was causing starting problems. Replaced it with a YellowTop and necer looked back.

ok i will thanks...i just find it hard to believe its the battery when it seems to be cranking really strong...
