Me too, after driving around with the TL's nice blue gauges the last two weeks, I've had a craving for a more bright and distinct dash set up like the TL's, but like you said then the rest of the stuff wouldn't match.

Well...

I just got done with this today. Tell me what you think. I think it brings a little more punch to the interior. Can you spot it???

I did blue only because its going to look real good when I get my whole LED conversion to my dash like gaping46and2's setup done by him.

Still debating on doing the pieces circled in red.

I just thought the matching visors and home link would accent the black in there all ready. Did I F!@# my shit up or does it look alright? I like it but the verdict will be from you Azine.

The power side of things is run with a startup/shutdown controller so it comes on with the ignition and autmatically shuts down when I turn the car off.

I know there was a guy that did something similar, however i havent seen him on the boards in a few years.

Very nice setup!

how do you keep it cool, besides that processor fan? Is there something else helping with airflow?

Do you have a thread on this? I'd love to do it but I'm curious as to how hard it is, I've had my dash apart too many times!

if you dont take the time to search, then you wont want to take the time to do that project. it is very time consuming.

I used a laptop Seagate HDD to handle the shock and also mounted it using rubber spacers. I havent had any problems yet. worse comes to worse i would have to change the HDD out every couple of years. Ill probably be doing that anyway to upgrade size.

Cool My Contribution

Ok, I finally had some time today to post some of my "Rare or Unique mods" so here they are in order:

1st: This is a custom greeting/safety message that plays when I start the engine, I dont think that anyone has this in their CL, or maybe even in an Acura. I personally think it adds another dimension of luxury and sophistication, the voice also goes along perfectly with the navigation. See for yourself.....

Video 1

2nd: This is the sound of my CL-S, the only thing unique about this is probably the Short Ram Intake, other than that I have the XS Power Headers and magnaflow mufflers. See for yourself......

Video 2

3rd: My Custom grill, i guess this is a unique mod, Ive seen a few people with these, and made in different ways. My method took me 30min and about 5 dollars. See for yourself....

4th: I think this would be a rare mod, havent seen anyone do this. I put the "Bose" logo on my front speakers. No one sits in the back of my car, and the windows are tinted, so I decided to take the logo off from the back speakers and move them to the front. Looks 100x better

5th: My interior has some minor mods as well, including the AC vent handles, the stock ones are cheap, boring, and black plastic. So I decided to put some better ones on, you would pretty much see these on most of the newer cars.

6th: I installed a shift boot, I think the stock look is tacky looking, especially in an Acura. With the shift boot it makes it look more complete/luxurious, I got the idea from the Mercedes interior. And no, im not trying to make it look like a manual

Hope you all liked them!

I have the EXACT same message that plays when you start up the car with my radar detector. Had it on a previous model of radar detector too. Gets annoying over time. Wish there was a way to shut off the greeting.

Otherwise it pretty much gets rid of the wheel hop, better then the torque damper that I had in the back.

Would you like me to make a video of the engine movement perhaps?
What would really help sell more of these would be some track time comparisons . . . that wheel hop hurts the 0-60' times, so it's got to help the 1/4 mile times at least a 10th or 2.

I think those stock wheels might have looked better if you mirrored the color. So put the darker paint on the inside of the spokes. But credit for originality!
