Did I get a good price?

So I paid 500 dollars to this guy to fix a dent the size of a football and repaint the scratches. Also he filled in 2 spoiler holes and repaint that area. Was 500 dollars a good price for that? He did not use any bondo and I still have to get the area buffed. Also what would be a good price for putting on 2 new tires, installing front and rear camber kits, and an alignment?

I think we'll need to see some pics of his work to really give you a good idea if you got a good deal, or not. He should have buffed it for you though , that I can tell you for sure.

sounds fair, but he should've included wetsanding/buffing in that, and yeah, depends on quality of work. The tires? depends on the size and brand you choose (you're probably looking at around 150 each after all the mounting and balancing and other fees they get you with). Installing camber kit ... ahem... diy or shop will approximately 75 per hour (an hour on the front and an hour on the back). Alignment will cost 60-80 (or more if you want a longer warranty. NTB offers an alignment with a 3-year warranty thats also transferable to another car for about 130)

He did wet sand I watched the whole thing in a DSW parking lot. I'm going to look into buffing it tomorrow (even though i don't have a buffer) but with some good elbow grease do you think i could make it look good? Do places like advanced auto parts let you rent them? maybe hardware store? I don't really know how to install the camber kits but if its easy enough that would save some money for sure.

I had a dude try to fix my huge dent on my old civic hatchback in a harris teeter parking lot... that shit looked like ass and i paid him 250 i think.... I totally regret it... I heard its like illegal or something for someone to be going around parking lots to fix peoples cars... I could be wrong... I wouldnt have done that and took it 2 a real body shop... u could have gotten it done with a couple more bux added to the 500 and got some real good results I think... But, we'd all have to see some before and after pictures to see if it was worth the 500 bux

Get your tires from tirerack.com and have them shipped to a Mr. Tire in your area. They have great prices on tires and Mr. Tire only charges like $20 for mounting and balancing each tire.

I doubt they would install the camber kit, but you could call them and check. I had mine installed at Pro-Imports in Rockville.

Ensure that you get your camber kits installed at a reputable place! Especially the Ingalls kits (Toe & camber correction)......if not, you will be eating up tires every few months!
