ported/bored throttle body

who is running one??

i was thinking of getting mine done

i have a 03 cls 6mt with aem intake, p2r spacer comptech headers, axle back and custom mid pipe and aem pulleys as far as performance

will i benefit? and is there anyone that sells them or amybe i can send mine in as a core???

you can take it off and take a dremel to it. Cover the IAVC hole with something so metal shavings dont get in there. I did mine myself its easy but Id suggest going to buy a micrometer so u can get an idea of the size. Just try your best to be even...you can youtube it

You just smoothed it not increased the bore? What were the gains?

No, i did. I just didnt do a lot bc its my first time doing and not sure the exact size because i dont have a micrometer and im buying an 80mm one soon. I just did it for fun one day.

i have a dremel and i have messed around before with it, but i dont trust myself to make it properly smoothe........

also next idea woul;d be get a universal 80mm on ebay, but not sure if there is one basically that will take a perfect fit, i have not looked into all the info

That aem intake isn't going to flow enough for a 80mm tb IMO.
As far as porting and polishing, a lot of people don't realize how hard it is to actually improve flow, usually its reasonable to get a port and smooth from a lace that can actually flow bench and make sure flow was improved. Not to mention maintaining a perfect mating between tb and manifold.

i agree, that is why i am not doing it myself :0)............

if i do a larger tb i will have a 4" intake made.......

also does the aem v2 fit 6spd??
