Just my opinion:
Always go with suspension, brakes, and tires -- stopping and collision avoidance (be safe).
Then go worry about the bucks. I'll take staying alive over some raised insurance rates.

Get the sways dude. At your earliest opportunity you also need to upgrade your shocks. When you change your spring rates and do not upgrade your shocks, you put more strain on all your suspension components. They will all wear faster. The ideal would be to change springs, shocks and sways together. Not every one can afford to do this at the same time. I know I can't. Just something to think about.

I agree with most. Suspension, brakes and tires first, then engine mods, then miscellaneous stuff like new stereos and radar detectors.

V1.
You're speeding already, we know that. The sways will only marginally allow you to speed more and will not make the difference between life or death in 95% of your driving.
Tickets last along time on your record and insurance increases cost real money. So I go against the rest of the crowd.
Another option: buy a cheap detector for now and then ebay it away - better than nothing. Or, borrow Ken Steele's old passport

I had the same decision last Nov. DO I want springs or a V1. It was right before Christmas so I made the V1 a present from all my family. Wife liked it because it was less shopping for her. Anyway, I know for a fact the V1 has saved me at least twice and that was worth $250 or more. I wasn't racing just going my normal 20mph over (safely). This month I had the springs installed and yes it made a nice improvement. In March or April I'll get the sways. The radar detector, sways,and/or springs won't make you drive any faster than what you do normally.

A V1 will help you aviod cops, sometimes. Sway bars will help you loose a cop into turns. THE WINNER: SWAYS.
Also, these cars have too much damn bodyr-roll, sways are a must. I am having mine installed in two weeks (next paycheck).......

what kind of shocks are recommended, and HOW MUCH for some good performance shocks?
Webtoker,
So what are the chances of getting it for a little less than $300 for sway and springs at the shop you go to? Keep me posted. How much was the drop when you put springs in for you?
Am interested, but this damn crabby whether just keeps me from wanting to do anthing right now esp. modifying my car.
