Plan B, Best deal for a AEM CAI?

When I'm ready to buy somthing I usually don't like to wait... I've been checking the list for a used AEM CAI for a CL-S 6-speed. Nothing at all for sale, so now I've got a question for ya'll.

Where can I find the best deal on a NEW AEM cold air intake? There's a guy on e-bay that sells new ones for about a buck-ninty. Is that the best deal I'll find? Can anyone suggest another on-line store?

I don't plan on buying the bypass-valve because I hear that's where the "hissing" comes from...

As usual, thanks much!!

It hisses without a by pass too. It's the nature of the AEM. I found
http://coximport.com/hot_sheet.html

Free shipping. Contact them directly, you should be able to get it for $220.

I have the Ice Box on order for my 6 speed. There's a groupbuy going on see the sticky.

Thanks, I'll write that one down. So your selling your AEM? You don't mind loosing the nice sound it gives you? I don't think we ever saw the offical dyno on the icebox, so I'm debating to buy that or not...

I traded in my 02, for a CLS 6 speed. The AEM doen't fit, so I sold it. I hated the thing anyway. I hated the loud noises it made, I hated the loud ass Vtech growl. I'm sure I'm the minority, just like a quiet car.

Haha, you make it sound like it made a few differnt noises? Is there anything I should know about before I buy one? Your probably talking about the hissing noise and the V-tech roar. If that's it...it works for me. I don't think I care much for the hissing, but oh ya...the v-tech roar would be great!! Finally scare some racers away.

Just those noises & the fart when you turn the car off. You should be happy. It does really perform great, but it's just not for me on this car.

www.no-limit-enterprises.com has the lowest price and has free overnight shipping. I got mine from them and have been pleased.

The sounds by the way, IMO, are not annoying. The hiss sounds like you got a turbo under the hood and sounds cool when you rev. The roar is awesome and enhances the sound of our beastly 3.2 liter. The only annoying sound is this hymm you hear when the car is parked, but turned on. You can really hear it when you are near the hood. Besides that, its pretty sweet. And that "fart" sound is really a release of pressured gas, and IMO sounds like its part of a turbo!

I had a short-ram on my v6 Accord and thought the sound was awesome. It was great to scare the begesus out of people by dropping the hammer & "Passing" them on the road. I like the hiss too.. It sounds more like the "giant sucking sound"--kinda like a huge vaccuum.

I didn't buy the CL-S to "blend in" with the crowd.

Just ordered the cai from http://www.c-c-c.net/ . They've got it for ~$170 & shipping. Not sure what the 6spd runs, but you *can* get the polished version!

Also try http://www.optauto.com/ . I've ordered from them a lot of times before and they're great to deal with. I think it's $173+ship there.

Good luck!
