I like the Front, side looks good.......the rear lights look like they fell off a WRX.

Also agree, I don't care what anyone says, that interior is a step backwards (just like the 7series). BMW has always been known for Sporty, driver oriented fun looking interiors, not anymore (for the new 5 and 7 at least).

I'm sure the 545 6spd will be a rip though.

 

IS3 eyes and WRX tails....does look sharp though. At least the trunk turned out decent.

 

Hey that looks a lot better than I thought it did first time around.

 

These pictures do in fact make the car look better, but im still not hot in. the current 5 series is still the best. And i agree with everyone else they screwed the pooch on the interior.

I am a die hard bimmer fan so i might be a bit hard. But i think they should hang Chris bangle out and shoot him. What the hell were they thinking hiring the designer who was fired for designing the aztek??????

I wish bimmer would bring back little things like having the window control switches in the center console where the shifter is. I loved that placement on my old 5, i miss the little things like that.

 

isn't idrive optional on the new 5?

 

bimmers have the best exterior design in the industry, they need a few clues from lexus and benz on the interiors

i valeted for the first time last week, it took me a minute of fuckin around to get the i drive 745 bimmer in to drive, complicated shit man.

The look at the top back corner of the headlights looks like eyebrows, mean ass eyebrows that is! I like! Back end has been Bangle-ized but doesn't look quite as bad as the 7 fortunately.

 

well, they seem to have improved over the earlier spy shots... looks very clean and aggressive... but am i reading the tach right? it says redline at 5k rpm

The rear and the interior could use some work. Other than that it looks pretty good.

I love it....BMW's new styling (a la 7 Series) took a while to grow on me (like mold) but I love it now.

 

When is BMW going to get rid of Chris Bangle. The guy ruined the 7 and now he has worked his magic on the 5. Audi is taking over BMWs spot of the "sporty" luxury sedan and I can see why.

 

The new 5 is UGLY!!! The interior is UGLY!!! The Exterior is UGLY!!! The car is probably a nice car to drive and own but that car is a total injustice to the agressive sporty look of the current 5. I like the new 7 but with the new 5 this overstyling crap has just gone too far.

 

Until i see it in person im going to have to agree with everything he just said.

 

those headlights are a bloody mess....very tacky looking, far too stretched out to the side. the interior looks no better than the TSX or A4....

Well its my opinion teh TSX has a great interior. The A4 i dont like.

 

It's not bad but not classic like the current 5. No other car looks like the current 5 (expect a 3 or old 7 which is cool).

This new one has some Kia in it.

I'd still take the current gen 5-series anytime over this sea creature.
