I used to have mechanical guages (boost inside and fuel pressure under the hood) - now that I have both full-sweep electrical guages, there is not turning back. The output is MUCH more smoother... no vibrations etc. etc. Plus, both senders are very close to the manifold (for boost) and fuel-line (fuel-pressure).. although fuel pressure isn't affected by moving it anywhere. Also if you want fuel-pressure inside the car, you need an isolator (if running a mechanical guage).

I would NEVER run gas inside the cabin - that's a NO-NO!!

Yeah..no fuel lines entering the vehicle for me...i'm not going to be tunig the car on a dyno w/ a/f meters...I'm getting the uni-chip so that should be all the tuning i need. i'm definitly getting the coolant temp (electrical) so I can make sure and watch the Mugen t-stat and fan switch are operating normally. As for the other I was thinking Intake Air Temp or maybe oil/trans fluid temps. I definitly want to stick w/ electrical guages too. Does anyone else have any other imput on guages that i could use. Thanks allmotor!

Autometer are the best gauges on the market..

Shop around.. you will find some good prices and maybe free shipping..

I got mine through LANE automotive.
269-463-4113

2-1/16 Phantom Boost/Vacuum Gauge 30"/15psi ATM 5776 $169.99
2-1/16 Phantom Fuel Press 0-100 Electric. ATM 5763
$182.99

Freight was 6.54.
total $359.52

Not cheap but well worth knowing what is going on.

Now I need to decide where to put the WBO2 display as it isn't very attractive.

And to think that this whole endeavor started over nine months ago; 06-15-2003 01:31 AM

I guess the gestation period of the CL/TL A-Pillar mount is the same as a human.

Yeah that was a tad bit long..... but it seems to be that way for anything we try and get built for these cars.... Example:..Grilles, Dump, intercooler........

Baffles me how these co. actually keep their heads above water. But we are the little man and they do have more important work than us...... in my book, the little man is the one you want to keep happy...

A couple of ideas; mold a square pod above the two round ones,.... up in the sunglass holder,.... the glove box will take two people but if you're logging it's ok. I ended up hanging it from the bottom round gauge with a bracket, but intended on trying to mold it, and the V1 above the round pods in the new pillar.

It's a radar-detector mount that is modified a bit. At one point I even though of making a custom display (just use the circuitry with a different enclosure) - but I figured I should see how everything works first before doing something like that!!

BlueCLS6 - nice! Although you have the guages reversed!!

Which gauges would you guys recommend for my C32. I would like to keep track of the boost, temperature, fuel pressure, and/or oil pressure. Which would be the most important on a supercharged engine? TIA.
Those gauges look good by the way. Are the autometers reliable/good quality? Not too familiar with gauges.

Hate to bump the old thread, but this is the "grey" from gaugepods.com, not the unpainted black, correct?
