painting grille

ok, i'm doing a custom grille, my car is black so i'm also goin with a black grille, I've heard of some people painting the mesh than throwing it in the oven, if that's correct how long and what temp should i put the oven on?

And i also want to paint the trim around the grille to black, should i use some high grit sandpaper and the same kind of paint as the grille?

I am also debating on painting the grille trim black because I'm doing the same thing. My car is Black. Some people tell me to leave it chrome because it will complement the wheels, the chrome emblems, and trim around the passenger windows along with the door handles. I don't know what's best, since were on the same topic what do you guys think???
