My gf got into my car yesterday with gum on the bottom of her shoe. I didn't notice it until this morning, so there is dried gum stuck to my floormat.

Anyone have any tricks for removing gum from floormats? Or do I just have to scrape it as hard as I can? Thanks!

 

rub ice directly on the gum for about 5 minutes, then scrape. it should come right off

 

or use a product called Goo Gone... it is a nice smelling citrus based cleaner that will remove the gum/tar/stickers etc. easily.

ya, i have some goo gone, but was afraid to use it on carpet

it will NOT fade the carpet or material... soak the area, let it sit for about 5 minutes and then you will be able to vacuum the gum right out.

 

make you lady wipe her shoes before she enters in you car

Well, try everything listed above. If all else fails, get a new carpet and enforce a shoe check policy for everyone that enters your vehicle. Oh and dont forget to print one out for your GF.
