Not sure if its been posted before but check this out, looks like a good buy at 4whp on a stock CL-S6 for only 80~

IMO - i never understood this... for 110$ you get the thermoblok kit which has both the TB spacer AND intake mani spacer. so why would i pay 80 for just a throttle body spacer.

its not that i'm lazy, sorry i guess i shouldn't of said that. and if its as easy as installing the headers then i shouldn't have a problem (i'm not lazy). my next class starts in 5 minutes so dont have the time to search right now... plus i wouldn't mind getting some info from someone on here that has used them before. any info would be appreciated, but i dont mind searching tonight if thats too much to ask. thanks,

IRC johntypes or whoever dynoed the outlaw spacers and got absolutely squat and his motor was modified, the CL-S6 used for testing was bone stock.

thermoblok spacers are just thermal resistant spacer gaskets that are hardly any thick. p2r TB spacer is not just another thermal gasket its a spacer. i guess there are further gains from just having a thermal gasket in between the TB. nobody said this spacer was for tempreture purposes. i'm pretty sure its different from just the thermoblok TB spacer. i might look into one of these a little down the road

this thread is on the P2R TB spacer as shown in the link. i believe the spacer has a different purpose than that of just a thermal spacer that is 1/8".
it looks interesting but the last time i bought something like this,(thermoblok spacers). i just wasted a 100 bucks and didnt feel any gains. i would look into getting one after someone buys it and reviews it first

how exactly do the thermobloks look like a gasket? their thick pieces of plastic. you are giving people the wrong impression. those spacers have been around forever and serve exactly the same purpose as the P2R product.
if you buy the p2r TB spacer and 'feel' gains let me know.

That dyno graph is from a 04+ TL. I will post up dyno from 01-03 later on today. Spacer made more hp on 04+ than it did on 01-03. 01-03 actually did pick up a few hp, but only gained like 1 ft lb of tq
#30
^ Any speculations on why that is? What are the mods on the TL from the dyno, because around 242hp is pretty good.
Are there large changes in the design between the CL and TL spacers?

The graph above was a a 2006 with about 15k miles on it. Not sure if it was a special model or anything, as car had Brembo brakes and stuff on it. Car also had a custom 3" Short Ram intake we made for it. The 04+ TL's tend to make more HP than the 01-03 TL's/CL's.

P2R what is the actual purpose of the spacer?? does it block heat transfer like a thermoblok spacer? or is there just a benefit from lengthening the space in between the TB? if you could explain this that would good

Hey, The science behind a throttle body spacer is actually to help create more volume inside the intake manifold. Anything after the throttle body can help create more volume. For example, if you make your intake arm 1 inch longer, it will not make the same amount of difference as if you add 1 inch of volume after the throttle body. We are going to release thermal tb gaskets that will actually help in the sense of heat transfer.

how am i wrong? have you seen the outlaw engineering spacers... their essentially the same thing, only made out of a different materials. and i'm not sure on thickness because i haven't seen any specific numbers... but they do the same thing...
and it's not for volume before the TB... that would not make sense? it's for volume after the TB to add volume to the intake manifold.
