Isn't Excelerate selling these for $600 shipped? That's what I saw when I checked two days ago in the BM.

I thought there were no ebay links? Anyways, why would you want to buy the plenums from some random company on ebay for more than we sell them for? I bet you they don't stock them either. I have a set in stock currently and have 2 more at my disposal. $600 shipped

Do I need new gaskets? The plenums did not come with them.
I'm installing these Saturday morning if I do not need the gaskets.
If I do, I will have to order them. I doubt any dealer here will stock them.

i'm sure the gaskets you have now will do, unless they have some tears or they look pretty bad.

Yep the only ones you need to worry about are the Outlaw spacers gasket (the green one) the other metal gaskets are good to go unless as previously mentione dthey are badly damaged.

I give some feedback now I'll have a post up in the next week about them in full & before & after dyno's.

The plenums are quality pieces. Fit was good.
Some notes on them I didn't see posted.

1 -They may come with the wrong L shaped fitting. The 1 with my set was not the right size for the hose. Lucky I was local & went to Power Rev Racing's shop with the car & they fitted up the correct fitting. They said they are going to start selling the plenums with the fittings installed so there's no guess work.
2 -You have to extend 1 of the little vacuum hoses. It's the very little 1 on the bottom right hand side of the rear plenum. I went to the auto store & they sized it up. It's about 3 inches longer.
3 -You need to transfer the intake sensor to the new rear plenum. Not hard, just unscrew it & screw it back on, but I didn't see it mentioned anywhere.
4 -The new plenum will hit the hood lining if you have intake spacers installed.(like thermoblok) Mine hit the left hand corner of the front plenum. It will wear into the hood lining cause it also gets hot. Not a huge deal, but be aware. It only hits the hood lining. The actual hood is fine. If you don't have spacers you should be ok.
I was told by power rev racing that the new engine mounts(from innovative) may eliminate it since the stock mounts are so spongy.
5 -The engine compartment is no longer pretty. Now you have this huge intake sitting on top of your engine.

Gains are there, how much your going to have to stay tuned for my dyno's.

Looking foward to a dyno with a wider rpm range, something from 2000rpm hopefully. Thats what? 5th gear at ~50mph?

mini bump

Did you have to get a whole new hose? If so, what size, length and diameter? I don't want to be in the middle of this and go oh shit.

Also, when you say it hits the hood lining, does it hit pretty good? Meaning, if you drop the hood, will shift the manifold? I was thinking after continued hood closings, the manifold may become loose.

Is the six speed higher motor than the auto? Just a thought.

It does not touch the hood. It only touches the material under hood. And thats only with the Thermoblock Intake manifold Spacer. If you use our intake manifold gasket, with plenums, it will not touch. But it does not hit the hood itself.

Don't see any reason for it to be.

Yeah it doesn't hit the hood just the lining with the theromoblok spacers only.
The hose is a new one. 3 inches longer. Just go to the auto store & take it off the car & bring it in They should be able to size it up. It's a slip on hose no clamps so takes 5 seconds to disconnect it.

I'd really like to see what kind of numbers this would make with a 6 speed and catback exhaust, or at least mufflers.

Just wanted to give my two cents. I did the plenum install this past weekend, it was pretty smooth, fitment was great. The only issue I had (I think it was mentioned before) was that I had to get a longer hose for the little 5/32" house that is about 3 inches long, its located on the rear plenum, to the right. It needed to be a couple more inches longer to fit with the enlarged plenum. Not a big issue, a trip to the auto part store solved it.

As far as power goes, I felt a little difference, nothing huge. It feels as if I lost throttle resonse, which would likely happen when a larger plenum is installed. I need to modify the Apexi Neo settings to match TCM's settings and see if that makes a difference. I need to do a couple more things, then I'll get it tuned.

FYI - I have the p2r intake manifold spacers and the front, left-most (if standing in front of the car) corner of the plenum hits the hood lining. Its very slight, but enough to dig into the hood lining.

So has anybody done a dyno w/ all this? I've started running out of mods to do and am about to go on deployment over seas so when I get back I'll have the money to do all this. Planning on finishing up w/ the plenum, throttle body spacer, and CT tranny cooler....would really like to see some HP gain numbers......

do a search, there was a dyno done on the plenums, spacer, h/i/e i believe, but as far as the plenums making gains I think they're minimal at best
