yesterday i was driving down a major street after a heavy rain session and was getting ready to signal right to change lanes and make a right turn this mexican guy in a 96-00 integra turns out of a parking lot and nearly clips me so i swerved to the right to get out of his way... my car hits this HUGE ass puddle on the side of the street and rips 1/4 of my side skirt off bending it so its grinding on the ground... the water rushes into my cold air intake and causes my engine to hydro lock... i pulled over and waited out the water and drove to my mechanic just to find out my o2 sensor fried ... great stuff... i'll post pictures of the side skirt dent later its getting late

::EDIT::
btw i was going 45 ish if you guys were wondering how fast i was driving

At least your car still runs after the hydro lock.

what's with all this mexican talk? any driver who thinks he's a hardass could've "caused" this accident.

That sucks, man!

You're lucky it still runs.

That's the second one I've read about today... These things seem to happen in sets of 3's...

If so, I hope someone runs into the front of me! Just enough to screw up the headlights, bumper cover and hood...

So you can upgrade to '03? Just hope someone totals it out, so you can get a 6speed.

HAHA, sort of. Totaling it would be ok too as long as my mods survive the accident!

Otherwise, I was thinking... No more rock chips in bumper or hood (or possibly carbon fiber hood) and definitely '03 headlights.

good point... what happened was that my engine pretty much died out i couldn't accelerate and i slowed down slowly my engine sputtered like crazy and i was shooting out MAD smoke but the smoke could be explained by the water... but i pretty much barely made it into the parking lot to get out and check my car...

That fucking sucks. Hope your car is OK. Water in engine is never good. May want to trade in that CAI for an Icebox.

Doubt it was hydrolock. Probably had something to do with a fried sensor
