optima yellow top?

According to Optima, they don't make a yellow top for the '03 CL-S. I've seen pics of them in the CL though. Does anyone know which one I should get? I've looked everywhere for a definite answer w/ no luck. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have an Optima red top 34/78. The 34/78 yellow top will also fit.

I got the red top because I don't have an aftermarket stereo system, and the red top actually has more cold cranking amps than the yellow top. The yellow top will take more full drains than other batteries before it is damaged.

So unless you have an aftermarket system, I would recommend the red top over the yellow top.

if you are a cheapass like me you can just put a block of wood under the battery so the tie down works

The Optimas come with spacer/adapter plates. It should be snapped into the bottom of the battery. At least my Optima red top did.

i believe these are the ones to get....

i think you could use a bluetop model D34M? as well....
i bought a blue top for my legend, because it was the cheapest (at least where i got it) and had more ccas then the yellow, but was still a true deep cycle battery. i believe the blue are the only one's available dual purpose starting/deepcycle, even though they are meant for marine use. i've had mine for a year or two without a single problem yet

My Red Top 34/78 came with the bottom spacer that snapped onto the bottom.
No adjustments to the tie downs were needed when using the spacer provided.

I've got a yellow top and grabbed a red top spacer. Fits perfectly and no issues with the tie downs.
