Opinions on BBS rims

Whats up All!

I really like BBS rims and I am thinking about getting 18x8. What do you all think of the quality look and value for the dollar. I heard they are really strong and can handle city driving which is what I am looking for, but hella expensive. I particularly like RXII, RZII, LM and RC. Feedback, feedback...

Thanks

I plan on getting BBS RX eventually except probably in 17s and not 18s. Those are less than $300/rim. Not sure how much more 18s would be but I think that's a decent price for a high quality, relatively lightweight rim. Sure, Volks weigh 3-4 lbs less per rim, but they're over $500/each.

On my last car ('96 Nissan 240 SX)I had installed 17x8 BBS RX wheels and after 4 hard years of New York tri state area roads and highways with all the attendant potholes construction zones etc.they never bent, the finish remained in excellent condition. The car was driven for some 130.000 miles.I would definitely buy them again.Although they are pricey they are great wheels.Jens

Where did you see them for less than $300 per rim. The lowest I've found is $307 without shipping. Those were the 17" x 7.5 RX in silver. The nicest imho.

I love BBS wheels. Had two sets over the years. Light, strong, good value, IMHO

I think I remember pimpintypes saying he got his BBS RX for $285/each from Discount Tire. I haven't called them to confirm the same deal.

Personally, I like the BBS RC. I think that they're pretty lightweight also.

I'm pretty sure that Pimpintypes didn't buy them through the web. He went into one of their retail stores in Phoenix.
He was gonna buy them from Tim but I guess Discount Tire either matched or beat Tim's price. I'm not sure what Tim's price is on the wheels.

I wanna say that Astroboy has BBS rims.... Not sure which.... I know that BBS is a very high quality rim, and one of only a few I'd consider for my car if I ever decided to do that mod.

I have experience with BBS wheels and I have to say they are extremely well built. They last forever and the finish never seems to wear.

I personally like the RKIIs for the CL. I think they're worth saving up for.

Yo guys, this bites. I just called tire rack and was told that the only BBS rims that will fit in 18 are RK and I am not that big a fan of those. Also RX will fit in 17 and while they are bit better than RK, still not happy at all. Anybody in the same situation, I need some suggestions of other rims with similar styling, machined lip as well. Thanks
