ya, on 18's you can slam that shit basically as much as you want and not worry about rubbing, i'd say a 2.5" drop w/ no rubbing

Maybe its the type of wheel then? I've seen 44's on our cars and TL-S's that needed to roll the fenders. I don't know though...try them first.

well upon further investigation everyone seems to do 48, don't know how we got his wheels to fit on fine

but still anything bigger then 49 won't work to well unless you go to a 7" wide wheel

what size wheel? +48 is the offset to use with a 7 1/2" wheel,
+55 for 7".. What you are trying to do is keep the inside of the wheel in the same position as stock.

okay, I have to jump in.

The higher the offset (+), the more "TUCKED-IN" your wheels will be. The lower, the futher out they will go.
So, if you go thinner wheels (i.e. 18x7) you want a lower offset so they go towards the fender.

Basically, 18x7.5 go with +37 offset
18x7 go with something with a lower offset, around the high 20's. (which are hard to find)

Remember, offset is measured in mm.
And starts from the center of the wheel width.
And not all cars have the same wheel depth.

For 01 CL-S, 18x7.5 +37 It will be maybe 2mm from your fender.

With that said, anyone need wheels? I can get any Enkei wheels for a pretty good price. 18's and up only

No they're just saying it a differant way. Sit down with a piece of paper and make notes and you'll find almost all the entries are saying the same thing. You have to think it through and "see" the picture..
