the clunking is from the bolts not being torqued to the correct specs. i installed mine the other day and had the same problem. torque them down more and problem solved

How is the handling? Did it take you long to install?

You most definitely need to install the Comptech front sways -- they are NOT the same as the OEM sways form Acura. The front sways on our cars are hollow -- the rears are solid. That's why the rear bar is 22mm vs 19mm for stock. Even though the Comptech front sways have the same outside diameter as stock sways, they have a smaller inside diameter (i.e. their wall thickness is greater than OEM). This results in a stiffer sway than the stock sway, and a balanced suspension when used with the Comptech rear. That's the theory, anyways.

Try it, you'll like it.

You got it right, bro, when you said, "get new shocks." If you put in adjustables (like the Koni yellow's), you'll be surprised how well you can tune your ride so that the springs and shocks work together, and you'll have a ride just slightly "firmer" than stock but still have a ball in the "twisties."

Yes indeedy, they are infinitely adjustable after they have been installed on your car. Koni provides you with a small plastic wheel that you place on top of the shock fitting and you simply "dial" the stiffness of the ride you desire. Adjusting the fronts is trivial as they are always in easy reach.

The only tough part is adjusting the back shocks. For that, you have to remove the back seat, which takes about 10-15 minutes (once you know how to do it--gotta love that "Helms Shop Manual"). That's why I recommend that serious tuners ride around for a week or so with their back seat removed (since you gotta do that anyways when you replace the rear shocks), so that they can reach the rears to adjust their firmness to optimum settings. ]
