OEM wideband O2 sensor???

Check this out and tell me what you think...if it truly does hook up through the stock harness, can I just use an OBDII scan tool as a gauge? Just looking for more money saving routes.

The CL and TL aren't even listed as applications.

If you are building a turbo setup, don't cut corners on tuning equipment!!!!11

AEM UEGO controller is less than $400.

Some cars have them as OEM some don't. The AEM is cheaper and eaiser to use than the TechEdge.

has anyone found out if you can use the stock bung-hole w/ the aem set-up???Instead of drilling into my comptech headers and installing a new bung.

You'd need to wire the stock harness into the sensor. Easier to just weld in a new bung.

it doesnt make sense. a wideband 02 sensor reports on a wider voltage scale than a narrowband sensor. if you were to get this and it was really a wideband sensor, i dont see how it would function for narrowband purposes.
wideband kits usually will take the wideband input and convert it to narrowband voltage to feed the stock ecu, at least to my knowledge.
anyways, this thing connected to the factory computer will do you no good. you still need a wideband, or just dyno tune it.

You can replace the first factory O2 sensor with a wideband sensor and most wideband controllers have a narrowband output which can be wired to the ECU. But most people just weld another bung somewhere.

Not if you do the DIY kit; $250.

hmm....can u elaborate just a little as to which part of my stock harness will need to be tapped into. The reason I'm asking is because I can get my hands on a "bad" front oem o2 sensor and cut the actuall sensor off the 1 foot harness it's attached to...could I just wire the AEM wideband sensor to that.....that way it will be plug and play or no. Wiring is not really a problem for me so if u guys could explain some more for me it would be great...thanks.....mrsteve....happy b-day bro!!!

hehehe....I really don't want to have a new bung installed in my lovely comptech headers..thats all. And wiring or tapping into my factory harness isn't really a problem for me to do so I just wanted to know how involved it would be for me to wire in the AEM system instead of welding in a new bung. Ya know...how many wires will have to be cut and where. Remember...warranty isn't much of a problem at all for me

You have to leave the factory sensor hooked up as the heater circuit is required to not set a code. If the AEM unit has a narrow band output you could use it and only need to cut into a singal wire at the ECU.

But IMO, a new bung is the best bet and doesn't degrade the headers.
