OBX Headers Customized to fit First Gen 3.0CL

Well, it's a duplicate post (over in First Gen), but I thought I'd also post here for general "FYI".

With a slight moditifaction (rear downpipe bent 1"), the OBX headers will fit on the First Gen 3.0CL.

It has much more torque and more HP even without the N2O!

But with the N2O; WHOOOOOAAAAAA!

The only mod was to bend the rear pipe in by 1". When the front header was mounted, I was able to measure how far off the rear pipe flange (center) was from the rear header flange (center). I measured 1", exactly. I took it to MIDAS, and they bent the pipe. Took them less than 5 minutes.

Keep in mind that as the pipe was bending along it's axis, it cause the flange to "twist slightly", therefore the 2 flanges (on the rear header/pipe) did not align exactly.

By disassembling the exhaust, section by section, it allowed each section to bolt to one another (midpipe to the cat, axleback to the midpipe, etc.) much easier. This allowed the "twist" at the flange to be spread out over the length of the exhaust. When all was done, my tailpipes are a straight as they were with the OEM exhaust.
