O2 sensor

Has anyone had any experiences with removing the cat converter and looping the O2 sensors on the CLS? Are there any companies that offer a module to fool the ECU?

I've run without the catalytic at the track; check-engine light does come on after a while even if the 2nd O2 is plugged in. I wouldn't recommend this for day-to-day driving. Plus in CA they have remote laser-type smog units all over the place!

Laser this! Out of all seriousness, there must be someone with info on the modification of the O2 sensor. Don't lecture me on "I wouldn't do it because" crap. thanks in advance.

if your just trying to get rid of the restriction from the cat then just get a universal hi flow cat and get a o2 bung customized onto the hiflow cat and that should solve your problem because the o2 can plug into the hiflow cat.

What exactly do you expext to gain from this?? Little to no power increase and increased emissions?? What else is done to your car to warrant this and it had better not be an intake only??

Also, you are asking questions on an open forum; do not expect filtered responses.

you should pipe down and listen to the man. unless you are running, FI messing w/ your cat will gain you nothing.

Thanks for your input, I guess there is no such solution to the O2 sensors. Good luck to you all.

There are solutions to removing the HO2S2 and fooling the ECU into thinking it is working. However, there is no real reason to do this if power is desired through removing the catalytic converter and you are not running forced induction.

I am running forced induction and want to reduce the restrictions imposed by the cat. What are some of the solutions you are speaking of?

O2 simulators are nothing new. You could easily have a pipe welded in and install a simulator.

So, you have the Comptech SC??

Naw, I have had my blower for well over a year and many of the other Comptech items. Outside of that I will make my own parts.
